There is nothing that I have ever done that the excitement could compare to this. My reasons?
# 1: I get to see Nina! I have missed her so much since she moved away! Mostly just because it was Nina, and she is such a great person that it is hard not to miss her. And also because she was Anna Maria's sister, and she really helped me out with that a lot. She is just a such a great person!
# 2: I get to meet the baby, I have no words for how excited and happy this makes me!
# 3: I'm going to Florida! How many fourteen year old girls can say that they've gone to Florida all on their own to see a friend?! How cool is that?
I don't even really know what I want to do, what it's gonna be like, or how I'll spend my time. But there is one thing I know for sure. It's gonna be awesome! And I'll never forget this one!

No time to blink
It's a funny thing life when your growing up. You get to this certain age and it's all work, school, and movies. And it just flies by so fast! I can't believe that my summer of work is almost over and that I will be starting school again soon. It just all flew by, and I don't even really know were it went.
I also can't believe that suddenly I'm doing my last year of math, that I will be sixteen in a little less than two years, how did this all happen so fast! I just don't get it! Life is sweeping by like a whirlwind, and though I don't feel that I'm missing it, I do feel as if it will all be gone if I sleep to much, or close my eyes for too long, or put my mind to anything that seems trivial. The only problem is, so many thing that are necessary by the standards of those above me seem so trivial. So there goes those few moments of life, lost in trivialities.
But that's just growing up I guess.

Steering the Ship
One of my very close friends, who recently moved to Florida with her husband, had her baby. My mom has gone down twice now, and she is there now. Running the house alone, not a job I was really prepared for, expectations over my head, never doing anything right, working my socks off, and I'm constantly behind. On top of that I'm still working! How much can you do?
But the amazing thing of it is. I find great satisfaction in the fact that even now, thrown into this head on, I can still swim. I'm not sinking, I'm staying on top. And I can do this! It's an amazing and exhilarating experience, realizing that the fourteen years that I have been working weren't for nothing, I have been trying to be all that I can be, and I have succeeded! I can run a home, and it is one of the hardest, most rewarding, and most exciting things I have ever done!
But the amazing thing of it is. I find great satisfaction in the fact that even now, thrown into this head on, I can still swim. I'm not sinking, I'm staying on top. And I can do this! Got a Job!
I am now working at Pub n' Prime, best and busiest resturaunt in town. Their food is great, their reputations sours, the people are nice, and they are almost always busy. My job doesn't REALLY have anything to do with these things however, because guess what I do?
Clean, I clean everything, everything and anything they can think of. They name it I clean it. I also do kitchen prep, laundry, flowers and many other odd jobs when the ocasion calls for it.
I have been working there for a whole week now, and then got a vacation, which I really needed, already! The job is pretty hard with lots of hourse on your feet and it just drains me!
My summer schedule has also been thrown down the drain, since nothing is really working the way I had planned. When summer gets started, what with my two jobs, I will be working seven days a week. On top of all that, I also have to do math, history and science, throughout the summer. I also have family, comitments to friends, and horses to take care of. My life is going to be CRAZY!
Then, as if that wasn't enough, guess what's up now? I am SICK, really sick. A bad basic cold with nausia, exhaustion and LORD knows what else thrown in! Hopefully my life gets simpler in a few weeks!

Missing Them!
Most of you probably know, but Nina and Tanner moved to Naples about a month and a half ago.
This post isn't long, just wanted to say that I really miss them. Nina's called me twice now, and we had some nice talks, and she thinks they may be coming up sometime in September.
The really bad part of this however, is that they most likely will not be returning for the baby. I will miss it, and that makes me very sad. However if they come back in Sept. sometime, it will be a little bigger, and very cute! Can't wait to see that little kid!

FLORIDA!
We got home about two weeks ago, so I'm a little behind, but here I am!
I still can't believe we actually did this! We went to Florida, the vacation haven of the world, and we saw all the cool stuff on the way!
We drove down and made our first stop at fort Massac, a very old wooden fort near the border of Illionois and Kentucky. We got to walk around and witness the effects of the flooding from the Ohio River and camp there for the night.
We pushed on the next day, sleeping that night at a campground in Georgia near a big reservoir, Red Top Mountain State Park. We got to swim in the water and camped there for the night, we went on the next day, stopped at a fort sometime in the late morning. This was fort Polaksi, a huge brik fort with two moats, huge defense mounds out front and a gateway like the ones from midievil movies. We got to see men fire cannons and muskets, we walked around and observed all the cool things to be seen. Then we stayed the night at a beautiful, though hot, campground deep in the southern woods of Goergia called Skidaway.
The next day was our first day on the ocean at a beautiful little campground right on the beach called Fort Clinch. We swam and looked at sea shells, played in the waves and walked on the beach in the evening. We watched the sun come up over the ocean the next morning and after another short swim we pushed on to Little Talbot Island, another campground along the ocean, the next day we stayed at Anastagia and finished the amazing days on the ocean at another campground RIGHT on the beach called Gamble Rogers.
Thanks to lots of sun screen and light shirts, most sunburn was avoided and it was a ton of fun. After four days at the ocean however, I was ready for fresh waters. We had a solve for that.
The next day we drove on to visit one of moms friends in Orlando, who she had gone to highschool and collage with. While visiting we stayed at a nice campground called Wekiwa Springs, called this because a tiny fresh water spring was located there. It was just like and outdoor swimming pool, and the water came up from a big crack in the ground, thousands of gallons everyday at the steady temperature of 72 degrees.
We spent two days here before pressing on towards home. We slept that first night back on the road at a lovely little wayside on an island in the middle of the Tennesse river, we moved on at the early hour of four o'clock and arrived at our days destination, Mammoth Caves, at around nine in the morning.
We spent the day in this famous and amazing monument, going on guided tours through the caves and looking around. We stayed the night at their campground, had a fire and grilled steaks, and then went on the next day to the best part of the trip.
The Kentucky Horse Park, home to hundreds of horses year round, hosting place of many major events and the heaven of most, probably all, horse lovers. And this day not only satisfied my soft spot for horses, but shed a whole new light on the rest of my life in the near future. (that's another story though)
We walked around and saw the famous statue of Man o' War, the Secretariate monument, the Internation Muesium of the Horse. We watched many different breed perform in the parade of breeds and witnessed a jumping lesson including a warm blood, a Conamara pony, and wonder of all wonders, a percheron. I saw in that one little day more breeds and varations of horses than I have ever seen in my life.
And now for the other story. Every summer extra help is hired to work with the horses and help with work around the park. They look particularly for natural riders without any extrensive formal lessons so that they can work with doing anything. Just down the road is the University of Kentucky were I could attend college while working at the park. Just a few more minutes down the road is Lexington Kentucky, the horse capitol of the world, were I could live while attending collage and working at the park.
Horse heaven and I never even thought of it before.
The rest of the trip was heavy driving all the way home. We left early in the mornings and drove into the nights. We drove through Chicogo, or over Chicogo should I say, on the Skyway, and fifteen days later we arrived back at home.
It was an awesome trip! That one will be hard to top!

Welcome!
I know that I just started my other blog a few months ago, but that ones topic is a little narrow. That saga continues, so that blog will continue to be updated, but this is my life blog, because that goes on too, and it isn't all sad, so here you go!
